History

Thanks to you, our customers, we have come a long way. Thank you! Below you can find a brief summary of what we have encountered along this long way.

1994

The formation of the company I.B.C. Praha spol. s r. o., by splitting off the commercial and service activities from the privatized works I.B.C. Krnov – later Armaturka Krnov, which was a part of the SIGMA concern.

A syndicate of two companies was established, namely that of I.B.C. Praha and Armaturka Krnov, which belong to one strong Czech engineering group. Both companies thus picked up the thread of a nearly 60-year-long tradition in the production of classical steel valves.

In this year, I.B.C. Praha also became a full member of the Czech Association of Entrepreneurs and of the CECHROS association within the Russian Federation.

1995

A quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001:1994 was established and certified.

The company can pride itself on being one of the few holders of this certificate in the Czech Republic.

In pursuance of the establishment and certification of the quality management system and special processes – welding – the company also obtained the following certificates:
– AD-Merkblat HP 0 / TRD 201;
– AD-Merkblat W 0 / TRD 100;
– TRB 801 Nr. 45.

The start of product certification for the countries of the former Soviet Union.

1998

The company ARPO, a.s., formerly Výzkumný ústav armatur (Research Valve Institute), a former member of the Sigma concern, became a part of our company. It brought the unique know-how, production, human and information potential of the aforementioned Research Valve Institute.

A holding of three companies was formed, whose activities intensely focused on innovating the design of existing valves, expanding its product range and expanding our products for conventional and nuclear power.

The company acquired the certificate of the quality assurance system in the area of the development and production of industrial valves, their sale, service and overhaul, in compliance with the ISO 9002:1994 standard.

2000

The company joined the Czech Testing Laboratories Association.

2004

Successful completion of the EC conformity assessment of the entire range of industrial valves in compliance with PED 97/23 EC.

A celebration of the 10th anniversary of the foundation of the company.

2007

Ceremonial establishment of the official representation of the company in Moscow.

2008

Quality management system in compliance with the requirements of PED 97/23 EC – Module H – was established and certified.

The company activities focused on greater success in supplying the energy sector.

2010

Completion of extensive reconversion of the production plant, the purchase of new technology and the modernization of existing technology, totalling CZK 140 million (USD 7 million, or EUR 5.38 million).

2013

The company was awarded the high-prestige “Certificate of Excellence” by the certification company TÜV SÜD Czech s.r.o.

Gradual transition to product certification for countries integrated into the Eurasian Union (Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan).

Our manufacturing plant acquired the quality management system certificate for welding in accordance with ISO 3834-2.

2014

A celebration of the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the company.

A launch of new web sites on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the company.

Completion of the process of transition to product certification for countries integrated into the Eurasian Union.

The entire product range is now certified for deliveries to the Eurasian Union in accordance with TP TC 010/2011 and TP TC 032/2013.

2015

I.B.C. Praha is among the founding members of the newly formed Czech Power Industry Alliance.

I.B.C. Praha has concluded a contract with TAAK Trade Co. (Tehran, Iran) on representation and cooperation in the Iranian market.

Completion of the process of certification of products intended for explosion-risk environments in member states of the Eurasian Economic Union according to TR TS 012/2011.

In June, we took part in the “Caspian International Oil & Gas Exhibition“(Baku, Azerbaijan).

2016

I.B.C. Praha is among the founding members of the CSIOK (Czech-Slovak-Iranian Chamber of Commerce).

Successful registration of I.B.C. Praha at the NIOC (National Iranian Oil Company) on its Vendor List, incl. subsidiaries.

In May, we took part in the “Iran Oil Show 2016″ (Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran).

Commencing cooperation with the CTSOK (Czech-Turkish Joint Chamber of Commerce) and entering the Turkish market.
