About us

• establishment of the COMPANY (I.B.C. Praha spol. s r. o.) by splitting off the sales and service activities from the privatized plant I.B.C. Krnov – later Armaturka Krnov a.s., which was part of the SIGMA concern
• a union of two companies is established, namely I.B.C. Praha spol. s r.o. and Armaturka Krnov a.s., belonging to one strong Czech engineering group – both companies thus continue the almost 60-year tradition of manufacturing classic steel valves
• in this year the COMPANY also becomes a full member of the Czech Entrepreneurs Association and, within the Russian Federation, the ČECHROS association

A quality management system was introduced and certified according to the ISO 9001 standard. The COMPANY could boast of this certificate, as one of the few in the Czech Republic at that time. As part of the introduction and certification of the quality management system and special processes – welding – the following certificates were also obtained:

• AD-Merkblat HP 0/TRD 201
• AD-Merkblat W 0/TRD 100
• TRB 801 Nr. 45

Start of product certification for the countries of the former Soviet Union.

• ARPO, a.s., formerly the Valve Research Institute of the Sigma Group, becomes part of the COMPANY - bringing unique know-how, production, human and information potential of the aforementioned Valve Research Institute
• A holding of three companies is established, whose activities are intensively focused on innovating the design of existing valves, expanding our own range and expanding our products into the classical and nuclear energy industries
• A quality system certificate in the field of development and production of industrial valves, their sale, service and reconditioning according to ISO 9002 is obtained

Join the Association of Czech Laboratories and Testing Facilities.

• successful completion of EC conformity assessment of the entire range of industrial valves according to PED 97/23 EC
• celebration of the 10th anniversary of the COMPANY

Ceremonial establishment of the company's official representative office in Moscow.

• implemented and certified quality management system according to the requirements of PED 97/23 EC – Module H
• The COMPANY's activities focus on greater success in deliveries to the energy sector

Completion of the demanding reconversion of the production plant in Krnov, purchase of new technologies and modernization of the existing one. All this in the total amount of 140 million CZK.

• received the prestigious Certificate of Excellence from the certification body
• gradual transition to product certification for countries included in the Eurasian Union (Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan)
• the COMPANY's production plant in Krnov received a welding quality management system certificate according to ČSN EN ISO 3834-2

• celebration of the 20th anniversary of the COMPANY
• completion of the process of transition to product certification for countries included in the Eurasian Union – the entire range is now certified for deliveries to the Eurasian Union according to TC 010/2011 and 032/2013

• COMPANY becomes one of the founding members of the newly established Czech Energy Alliance
• completion of the certification process of products for explosive environments for countries included in the Eurasian Union according to TR TS 012/2011

The COMPANY becomes one of the founders of CSIOK (Czech-Slovak-Iranian Chamber of Commerce).

Building and obtaining certificates of the management system for environmental protection and health and safety at work (ČSN EN ISO 14001 and ČSN ISO 45001)

Acquisition of a manufacturing company – plant in Ostrava, inclusion of welding workshops into the COMPANY structure and their certification according to ČSN EN ISO 3834-2

• the COMPANY receives certification (from ČEZ a.s.) as a qualified supplier for conventional and nuclear energy in the Czech Republic
• conclusion of an important supply contract for the Akkuyu NPP – Türkiye
• investments in production facilities in Ostrava and strengthening of the COMPANY with new employees in the departments of design, production, project implementation and Quality management
• the selection of a strategic partner has begun to enhance the COMPANY’s position in the Czech market and abroad

30th anniversary of the founding of the COMPANY.

• SPOLEČNOST byla úspěšně auditována pro dodávky získaných kontraktů na JE Pakš II, Pow. Units 5,6 v Maďarsku
• SPOLEČNOST dokončila dodávky pro JE Akkuyu v Turecku
• Výrobní závod v Ostravě prošel komplexní rekonstrukcí včetně doplnění nových technologií pro oblast obrábění, svařovacích operací, zkoušení, řízení výroby, zázemí pro pracovníky a doplnění nových pracovníků na požadované pozice ve výrobě, jakosti i  obchodu.
