We are pleased to announce that our company has obtained certification confirming that our gate valves and ball valves, based on an FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostic Analysis), are suitable with respect to random hardware capability for use in safety systems employing Type A mechanical final elements.
The certification results confirm that the valves can be used in accordance with the quantitative requirements of IEC 61508:
- up to SIL 2 in a single-valve configuration (1oo1),
- up to SIL 3 when two independently operated valves are installed in a series configuration (1oo2).
